He began his collegiate football career at Alcorn State University but transferred to Jones County Junior College after his freshman season. He then transferred to the University of Minnesota, where he continued to excel, earning First-Team All-Big Ten honors in his senior year.

NFL Career: Wilson was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. After four seasons with the Cowboys, he signed a two-year, $5.6 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019.
